IndyStar has released its early look at the top junior boys soccer players who are expected to shape the 2026 season across Indiana, a list assembled with input from local coaches and featuring talent from schools such as Lawrence North, Lawrence Central, Brownsburg and others.
Key Players to Watch
Among the standouts is Maijuer Abdullah of Lawrence North, who appeared in all 20 games last year and contributed two goals and three assists, while Bryce Bush from Lawrence Central topped his team with 16 goals and five assists as a sophomore. His teammate Trevor Bush posted 44 saves and allowed only two goals in 14 appearances, and freshman Ramiro Callejas of Lawrence North tied for the team high with seven goals.
Other key contributors include Alex Duncan of Brownsburg, whose defensive work helped the squad record 14 shutouts and reach the Class 3A regional finals, and Jalen Duncan from Bishop Chatard, an Elite Clubs National League player who started in the 2024 semistate final. Ethan Eitel from Zionsville logged 1,408 minutes, made 71 saves and was part of eight winning games.
Courage Magwizi of Beech Grove matched the team’s top scoring with nine goals and added six assists, while Caleb McGee from Guerin Catholic played a role in a Class 2A state championship. Evan Mitchell of Triton Central was the second‑most prolific scorer with ten goals and three assists, and Manny Torres of Roncalli tallied six goals, five assists and over 1,100 minutes of play. Jet Truitt from Carmel appeared in 19 matches, scoring six goals and providing one assist, and Eli Yancey of Bishop Chatard led the team with seven assists and five goals.
The breadth of talent across the state suggests that the upcoming season will feature intense competition, with many of these athletes poised to attract college recruiters and potentially influence national rankings.
