A fresh chapter for the Rush
The ECHL’s Rapid City Rush announced this week that forward Seth Fyten will return for the 2026‑27 season, reinforcing the club’s roster as it looks to build on recent momentum.
Fyten, a 25‑year‑old Calgary native, logged 18 points in 51 games during the previous campaign, including eight goals and ten assists, and he capped the year with a four‑point surge over his final eleven outings.
From college standout to pro debut
After completing five seasons at Bowling Green State University, where he appeared in 126 games, Fyten turned professional in April 2025. He signed with the Savannah Ghost Pirates, recording a single goal in six appearances before returning to the Rush.
The Rush’s general manager praised the forward’s work ethic and versatility, noting that his experience at both the collegiate and minor‑league levels should translate into a deeper lineup for the upcoming season.
What’s next for the club
With the re‑signing in place, the Rush aims to blend youthful talent with veteran presence as they target a playoff push. Fans can expect to see Fyten skating alongside familiar faces and new prospects as the roster takes shape.
