Adam Valentini, a 2026 NHL Draft pick of the Utah Mammoth, grew up amid the hockey‑rich streets of Toronto, Ontario.
His early years were spent in the Greater Toronto area, where he honed his skills with the Mississauga Senators’ U15 AAA and U16 AAA squads before moving on to the Toronto Marlboros U16 AAA team.
USHL Breakout
The following season he joined the Chicago Steel of the USHL, posting 39 points in 58 games and emerging as the team’s leading scorer.
His performance caught the attention of college scouts, leading to a commitment with the University of Michigan.
College Success and International Play
At Michigan, the Wolverines captured the Big Ten Championship in his freshman year, and he contributed 27 points in 40 games, highlighted by a power‑play goal in the NCAA regional finals.
On the international stage, Valentini helped Canada White win gold at the World U17 Hockey Challenge, leading the tournament in scoring with nine points in five games, and later added a bronze medal with Canada at the Hlinka Gretzky Cup.
He also represented Canada at the 2024 Winter Youth Olympics, at the 2025 Hlinka Gretzky Cup as an alternate captain, and at the 2026 Under‑18 Men’s World Championship, where he again posted five points in five games.
Now drafted by the Utah Mammoth, Valentini is expected to bring a blend of offensive skill and leadership to the professional ranks, continuing a trajectory that began on Toronto’s outdoor rinks.
