AI‑driven soccer analytics startup Marquee secures $4M seed round

The Tel Aviv‑based platform, founded by veteran technologists, plans U.S. and U.K. expansion after closing a $6.5M total funding

Tel Aviv‑based startup Marquee, an artificial‑intelligence platform that translates raw soccer data into actionable insights, has quickly become a go‑to resource for clubs seeking a competitive edge.

The company announced this week that it has closed a $4 million seed round led by AnD Ventures, bringing its cumulative capital to $6.5 million after a prior $2.5 million pre‑seed investment.

Funding and growth strategy

Marquee was launched earlier this year by a quartet of seasoned technologists — Jonathan Hazut, Dror Rosenfeld, Dean Bracha and Tal Darchi — who combined deep expertise in machine learning with a passion for the sport.

The fresh capital will be directed toward expanding its research and development capabilities, hiring senior talent across product and sales, and establishing new offices in the United States and the United Kingdom.

Beyond soccer

Already, Marquee counts more than 20 professional soccer organisations among its customers, including clubs from Major League Soccer, the Premier League and Italy’s Serie A, and it has forged data‑integration partnerships with analytics firms SkillCorner and Gradient Sports.

While its core focus remains on soccer, the startup is also developing a dedicated basketball analytics solution, signalling ambitions to become a multi‑sport data hub.

Industry observers note that the funding reflects growing confidence in AI‑driven sports analytics, a sector that is attracting attention from both traditional sports investors and tech‑focused venture firms.
