Tristan McKee, the 15‑year‑old prodigy who has been generating buzz across the American racing scene, is set to make his NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series debut on August 14 at Richmond Raceway in Virginia.
He will climb into the No. 77 Chevrolet Silverado RST fielded by Spire Motorsports, a team that has paired him with veteran crew chief Chad Walter as part of its Ascent Driver Development Program, the first driver to be signed to that initiative.
The schedule, which also includes events at New Hampshire, Bristol, Phoenix and Martinsville, marks the first of a planned five‑race campaign that the organization says is designed as a long‑term development pathway rather than a short‑term trial.
Early Career Highlights
McKee's ascent began at age 12, when he became the youngest driver ever to win a CARS Tour race at Dillon Motor Speedway, a feat that foreshadowed a rapid climb through multiple series.
Since then he has added a string of CARS Tour victories, captured the 2025 TA2 Series championship as the youngest titleholder in that series, and earned his first ARCA Menards Series win just days after turning 15 at Watkins Glen, New York.
In the ARCA East division this year he has secured three victories in five starts, positioning him as a championship contender and reinforcing the expectations placed on him by his sponsors and mentors.

Spire Motorsports’ leadership views the upcoming Truck Series stint as a crucial stepping stone, emphasizing that the partnership is part of a broader strategy to groom McKee into a future national series contender.
