At the Big Ten media day in Chicago, three Wolverines — quarterback Bryce Underwood, running back Jordan Marshall and defensive tackle Trey Pierce — represented the school. Only Pierce was part of the 2023 sign‑stealing scheme, and he has since spoken about the new level of accountability that Whittingham has introduced.
Pierce, who has experienced both the highs of success and the lows of scandal, believes the coach’s emphasis on detail and responsibility has changed the culture within the locker room. He says the players are handling the situation well and are committed to moving forward.
