A summer soccer camp hosted by the Real Madrid Foundation will take place at Wenatchee Valley College from August 3 through August 7, offering young players a chance to train with certified coaches from the Spanish club’s development program.
The program welcomes participants between the ages of five and seventeen, covering both field players and goalkeepers, with daily sessions scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, providing a full‑day immersion in technical and tactical instruction.
Coaches will concentrate on sharpening ball‑control, passing accuracy, and game intelligence while weaving in lessons about teamwork, respect, and motivation that the foundation says are central to its philosophy.
A Values‑Driven Approach to Youth Soccer
Each instructor is assigned to roughly fourteen campers, ensuring personalized feedback, and the curriculum is designed to reflect the professional standards of Real Madrid’s youth academies.
Greg Sparling, Wenatchee Valley College’s Athletic Director, said the partnership represents a “unique opportunity” for the college and the regional soccer community, allowing local athletes to learn from world‑class instructors while giving the school’s own programs a chance to observe best practices.
Registration costs $599 per player, with optional early‑drop‑off and extended‑pickup services available for an additional fee; spaces are limited and interested participants can sign up through the Real Madrid Foundation Clinics website.
