A New Chapter for Lady Monarchs Soccer
Old Dominion University's women's soccer program has officially welcomed eleven new student‑athletes to its 2026‑27 roster, a move that underscores the team's intent to compete at a higher level in the coming season.
Head coach Will Roberts expressed enthusiasm about the incoming class, noting that the blend of youthful energy and proven experience should provide immediate depth and long‑term growth.
Among the newcomers, Camdyn Smith arrives as a first‑year goalkeeper from Morgantown High School, bringing a reputation for composure under pressure. Emily Earles, a fourth‑year defender transferring from NC State, will add senior leadership to a back line that has shown steady improvement.
The defensive cohort also welcomes Madelynn Arthur, a first‑year defender from Sussex, Wisconsin, and two experienced transfers, Libby Holmes and Ally Richardson, both of whom spent recent seasons at the University of Louisiana at Monroe.
Midfield and attacking options are bolstered by Eve O'Carroll, a first‑year midfielder from Manchester City's academy, and Vivian Thompson, a versatile forward/midfielder from Chantilly, Virginia. Additional forward threats include Reese Kulha, Emme Kline, and Molly Flammia, each bringing distinct regional backgrounds to the squad.
