Saratoga Race Course will open its gates on August 8 for a special Whitney Day that blends the excitement of horse racing with a celebration of America’s upcoming women’s hockey heroes.

The meet‑and‑greet, scheduled from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., will give fans a chance to snap photos and chat with 2026 U.S. Women’s Hockey Olympic Gold Medalists Haley Winn and Hayley Scamurra, as well as USA Hockey General Manager Katie Million.

Admission gates swing open at 10 a.m., with the first race post slated for 11:45 a.m., and general admission is priced at $15 when purchased in advance.

Honoring a Historic Team

The centerpiece of the afternoon will be a named race that pays tribute to the 2026 U.S. Women’s Hockey Olympic Gold Medal winning team, linking the legacy of the sport on the track with the triumphs on the ice.

Beyond the competition, the event offers a unique platform for the hockey team to engage with a new audience, reinforcing the sport’s expanding reach across the United States.
