Bearcats’ Pancake Bash Returns with Free Breakfast and Open Practice

Fans invited to celebrate the offensive line at Sheakley Lawn and Nippert Stadium

Cincinnati football will host a free pancake breakfast and open practice on August 8 at Sheakley Lawn and the historic Nippert Stadium, giving fans an early glimpse of the 2026 squad.

A Sweet Tradition Revived

The first 100 attendees at Sheakley Lawn will receive custom University of Cincinnati syrup bottles, while families can enjoy games, inflatables and concessions on the east side of the venue.

The offensive line will flip pancakes before the practice begins at 10 a.m., and players will stay on the field for an autograph and photo session after the workout.

During the breakfast portion, fans can enter contests for special giveaway prizes, continuing the Bearcats' "Pancake With Us" campaign that spotlights the unit that helped the team allow just 8.0 sacks and 43.0 tackles for loss last season.

Led by preseason All‑America guard Evan Tengesdahl, who earned All‑Big 12 First Team and AP All‑America honors, the line also features fifth‑year standouts Taran Tyo and Joe Cotton, both returning after strong All‑Big 12 campaigns. Offensive line coach Nic Cardwell was recently promoted to co‑offensive coordinator, and the group entered the season without any transfer portal additions, underscoring the squad's continuity and high expectations.
