Themed games, community events and special recognitions set the tone for a vibrant season

A season of celebration

Central Michigan University’s soccer program unveiled its 2026 promotional calendar, promising a blend of themed home matches, family‑focused activities and community‑driven celebrations that will run throughout the fall.

Fans can look forward to a series of interactive experiences, from mini ball tosses and post‑game penalty kicks for youngsters to a free kids clinic scheduled before the Maroon & White Scrimmage on August 1 at the CMU Soccer Complex.

The opening match against Purdue Fort Wayne on August 27 will kick off the season with a vibrant Kids Zone, distributing maroon and gold pompoms to the crowd, while the Welcome Back White Out game on September 3 will hand out complimentary white t‑shirts to the first 100 students.

Later in the month, Youth Day on September 6 will feature drawstring bags and an autograph session with the 2026 schedule posters, and the Tribal Celebration on September 17 will shine a spotlight on the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe’s partnership with the university.

Special themes continue with Maroon Out on September 26, marking the first Saturday home game since 2017, followed by Alumni Day and a Mental Health Awareness Game on October 4, which will include ribbon stickers and recognitions for former players.

The schedule also includes Faculty/Staff Appreciation Night on October 15, a Pink Game combined with Beat Western Weekend on October 18 that honors eight seniors and supports Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and a Halloween‑themed Community Night on October 29 featuring candy and spooky activities.
