Cougars chart a demanding non‑conference slate
Washington State University’s women’s basketball program has unveiled its 2026‑27 non‑conference schedule, a 16‑game lineup that blends early‑season road tests with a handful of home showcase events.
The Cougars will begin the season on the West Coast, traveling to face California on November 2 before heading to Oregon on November 6, setting the tone for a challenging opening stretch.
A marquee home matchup arrives on November 17, when the team hosts its in‑state rival Washington Huskies, the only meeting between the two schools this season.
Following that showdown, the Cougars will enjoy a three‑game homestand against Idaho, Southern Utah and a second meeting with Washington, giving fans a chance to see the team build momentum on its own floor.
The schedule also features participation in the Cancun Challenge over Thanksgiving weekend, where the Cougars open against Kansas before the rest of the tournament unfolds.
Later in December, the team will head east to Philadelphia for the Hawk Classic, playing on December 20‑21 before returning home to take on Cal State on December 30.
Conference play on the horizon
While the full Pac‑12 schedule and start times will be released later, the university notes that conference play will officially begin in 2027, marking the first year of competition in the new league.
Season tickets for the entire 2026‑27 campaign are now on sale, giving supporters the opportunity to secure seats for the road openers, home series and holiday tournaments.
