Josiah-Jordan James, the 6‑foot‑7 forward who spent five seasons at the University of Tennessee, has officially signed a one‑year contract with the New Zealand Breakers of Australia’s National Basketball League.
During his college career he amassed 1,270 points, 844 rebounds, 297 assists and 183 steals, and was part of Tennessee teams that captured the SEC Tournament and regular‑season titles while advancing to the Sweet 16 and Elite Eight.
After college he signed an Exhibit 10 deal with the Indiana Pacers and played for their G‑League affiliate, the Fort Wayne Mad Ants, before moving to Israel where he helped Hapoel Jerusalem compete in the Israeli Basketball Premier League.
A Fresh Start in the Southern Hemisphere
The Breakers open their season on Sunday, September 20, and the club is counting on James to bring his defensive grit and versatile skill set to a league that prizes athleticism and hustle.
