Ryan Niedzwiedz of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville was selected as the Ohio Valley Conference co-Player of the Year, marking the first time a player from the program has earned that distinction.

The senior slugger sits fifth nationally with 27 home runs, a new single-season record for the university, and ranks second in the league with 67 runs batted in, another program best.

His on-base plus slugging (OPS) sits at 1.219 and his slugging percentage is .792, underscoring a dominant offensive season.

Coach Lyons' Recognition

Coach Sean Lyons was also honored, being named OVC Coach of the Year after guiding the Cougars to their first regular-season championship in the conference.

Team Accolades

The team placed seven players on the All-OVC squads, the most of any school in the league, highlighting the depth of talent across the roster.
