Florida State University announced in June that it had offered a scholarship to Tyrie Davis-Winn, a four-star offensive tackle who ranks No. 219 overall and No. 26 among tackles in the 247Sports composite.
The Pennsylvania native, listed as the No. 8 player from his state, is set to make his first appearance at Doak Campbell Stadium when the Seminoles open the season against New Mexico State on August 29.
A Recruit's Road Ahead
Davis-Winn said he is eager to explore a number of programs, including Georgia Tech, Penn State, Virginia Tech and South Carolina, before deciding on a future school.
He highlighted the personal connection he feels with Florida State’s coaching staff, noting that meeting them in person was a key factor in his excitement.
Current Commitments and Future Focus
The Seminoles already have pledges from three-star athlete Chayse Brown and three-star tight end Troy Silberzahn for the 2028 recruiting cycle, and they are actively pursuing additional offensive-line talent.
Head coach Mike Norvell has been building relationships with prospects like Nation Farmer, whose own connection with the staff adds another layer of optimism for the program.
