Rainbow Warriors Celebrate Big West Honors with Five All-Conference Selections

UH Mānoa’s pitching dominance and clutch hitting propel the team to a fifth straight top-five finish

Conference Honors

The Rainbow Warriors celebrated a milestone as five players received All-Big West recognition, underscoring the program’s consistent performance in the league.

Pitching Excellence

UH Mānoa’s pitching staff anchored the team’s success, posting a 3.44 team ERA that ranked third nationally. Magdaleno, Tomii and Robello combined to throw 206 innings with a 2.49 ERA, accounting for nearly half of the staff’s workload.

Magdaleno placed third in the nation for hits allowed per nine innings and fourth in WHIP, while Tomii paced the staff with the most appearances in his rookie season. Robello’s contributions helped maintain the staff’s dominance throughout the conference schedule.

Clutch Hitting and Veteran Leadership

Shimao and Zeigler-Namoa provided the lineup with timely hitting and veteran presence, delivering key runs during critical moments. Their performance helped the team bat .283 with runners in scoring position during the final month of conference play.

The Warriors closed the season as the No. 4 seed in the Big West Championship, a testament to their resilience and depth.

A Historic Streak

Finishing in the top five for the fifth consecutive season, UH Mānoa remains the only program in the Big West to achieve that consistency, reinforcing its reputation as a perennial contender.
