The win, sealed in the final inning, was powered by multi‑home‑run performances from Chase Kortan, Landon Bares and Matt Brown, each of whom drove in two runs. Matt Brown also earned the pitching win, tossing six solid innings, striking out eight batters while allowing five runs.

The weekend also saw Lesterville surge past Freeman 14-1 in a run‑rule shortened contest, with Tyler Edler blasting two homers and scoring nine runs in the fifth inning. Crofton, the Bluejays, rallied to defeat Menno 13-7, pulling away with eight runs in the later frames. Canova, the Gang, posted a 10-0 shutout of Madison, highlighted by Luke Koepsell’s complete‑game effort. Meanwhile, the Dell Rapids Mudcats clinched the District 4B crown, edging their opponents 6-3 after Josh Roemen delivered a three‑run homer in the ninth.
All of the victorious clubs now await the release of the Class B tournament bracket pairings, scheduled for Sunday afternoon, setting the stage for the next round of competition.
