Although Boswell went undrafted in the 2024 NBA draft, he signed a two‑way contract with the Charlotte Hornets and impressed in Summer League, posting 5.0 points and 3.4 rebounds per game in 15.2 minutes.
Despite the eligibility ruling, the Illinois basketball program does not appear to need Boswell, as established backcourt players such as Stefan Vaaks and Quentin Coleman already occupy key roles, limiting his potential minutes.
