Former Michigan State basketball standout Mark "Rocket" Watts has agreed to a contract with Bosnia’s KK Radnicki Gorazde, joining the club for the upcoming season in the Slovak Basketball League.
Watts, who captured the imagination of Spartan fans during his freshman year in East Lansing, earned a spot on the Big Ten All‑Freshman Team in 2020 and quickly became a crowd favorite.
His sophomore campaign was marked by a positional shift from shooting guard to point guard after the departure of Cassius Winston, a transition that presented both challenges and learning opportunities.
Following a difficult year at Mississippi State plagued by injuries, Watts transferred to Oakland University, where he completed his college eligibility before embarking on a professional path that has taken him across Europe.
Last season, he played for BK Ikra Syit in Slovakia, gaining valuable minutes and adapting to a faster pace, and his performance earned him a return ticket to the same league with KK Radnicki Gorazde.
A New Chapter in Europe
The move underscores the growing appeal of the Slovak league for former Big Ten talents seeking competitive play and development ahead of potential opportunities elsewhere.
