Skubal, who was visibly emotional when the deal was announced during Detroit’s 8‑6 victory over the Athletics, said he was thrilled to join a club that is chasing a third straight World Series title.
The move adds depth to a starting staff that already features Shohei Ohtani, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Blake Snell and Tyler Glasnow, giving the Dodgers a pitching depth that many analysts view as unbeatable.
