Ben Dexheimer, the team captain, was crowned Most Valuable Player, a tribute to his leadership and his clutch performance in the 2026 NCAA Tournament when he netted the game‑winning goal against Michigan State.
Gavin Morrissey added another layer of distinction by earning both the Most Consistent Player and Scholastic Awards, underscoring his reliability and academic dedication throughout 36 games in which he tallied 36 points.
The award list also celebrated shared honors, with Jack Horbach and Adam Pietila splitting the Most Competitive Player accolade, while Luke Osburn was named Rookie of the Year and Aiden Dubinsky received the Unsung Hero Award.
Weston Knox was highlighted as the Most Improved Player after scoring his first career goal against Lake Superior State, and Jack Phelan was presented with the Jeff Sauer Award for his nine assists and 46 blocks.
Grady Deering rounded out the recognition by taking home the 7th Man Award, capping a rookie season that saw him contribute seven goals and 15 points.
Beyond individual accolades, the Badgers' affiliations with professional teams such as the Laval Rocket and the Iowa Wild illustrate a clear pathway for player development, while the University of Wisconsin continues to serve as the program's academic and athletic anchor.
Fans can look forward to next season with optimism, as the program blends proven talent like Dexheimer and Morrissey with promising newcomers who have already begun to make their mark in the collegiate hockey landscape.
