The Pro Football Hall of Fame will welcome its Class of 2026 on Saturday, August 8, at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio. The ceremony, which draws fans, media and league officials, marks the culmination of a year‑long celebration of the game’s most influential figures.
What makes this year’s induction especially poignant is the emphasis on personal connections. Each enshrinee has selected a presenter who shares a unique chapter of their story, whether as a former coach, teammate, son or co‑owner, underscoring the intertwined nature of professional legacies and family ties.
Mentors, Teammates and Family Members as Honored Guests
Drew Brees will be introduced by Sean Payton, the New Orleans Saints coach who guided Brees for fifteen of his twenty NFL seasons and helped him set numerous passing records. Roger Craig, a Hall of Fame running back, chose Jamie Williams, his teammate at both the 49ers and the University of Nebraska, to present him, recalling their shared triumph in Super Bowl XXIV.
Larry Fitzgerald’s son, Devin Fitzgerald, will take the stage to honor his father, joining a select group of 33 sons who have presented their fathers at the Hall of Fame. Similarly, Luke Kuechly’s father, Tom Kuechly, will present his son, becoming only the twelfth father to do so, a testament to the generational impact of the sport.
Carlie Irsay‑Gordon, co‑owner and CEO of the Indianapolis Colts, will present Adam Vinatieri, the legendary kicker whose game‑winning kicks defined multiple championships. Irsay‑Gordon’s own family history with the franchise adds a layer of continuity, as her late father, Jim Irsay, previously presented other Colts greats such as Marvin Harrison, Edgerrin James and Dwight Freeney.
The ceremony will also recognize the broader contributions of teams and institutions that shaped these players’ careers, including the New Orleans Saints, San Francisco 49ers, University of Nebraska and the Indianapolis Colts. Tickets for the event are currently on sale, offering fans a chance to witness these heartfelt tributes in person.
