Wisconsin Badgers Unveil 2026-27 Non-Conference Basketball Schedule

Season opener set for November 2, with Bahamas, Marquette, Villanova and Nashville matchups

Key Non-Conference Highlights

The University of Wisconsin announced its full non-conference slate for the 2026-27 men’s basketball season on Monday, outlining a schedule that blends early-season tests with marquee road trips.

Season Opener and Early Matchups

The campaign will open on November 2 at the Kohl Center, where the Badgers will host Denver in their first regular-season contest.

Three exhibition games are slated before the opener, featuring matchups against UW-Parkside, Green Bay and Oklahoma State, giving the coaching staff a chance to fine-tune rotations.

A highlight of the non-conference portion is the Baha Mar Invitational in the Bahamas, scheduled for November 19-20, where Wisconsin will join other national programs in a multi-team showcase.

Later in the month, the Badgers travel to Philadelphia to meet Villanova on December 12 as part of the Philly Hoops Showdown, and they will head to Nashville on December 19 to play Auburn in the Bad Boy Mowers Series.

Additional road tests include a December 5 visit to Marquette’s Fiserv Forum, providing an early Big Ten preview before the conference schedule ramps up.

Home Schedule and Big Ten Tournament

Overall, Wisconsin will play 17 home games, ten of which fall within the Big Ten slate, while the remainder of the non-conference slate features a mix of mid-major and power-conference opponents.

Single-game tickets are expected to go on sale in early October, giving fans ample time to plan for the early-season matchups and the upcoming Big Ten Tournament in Indianapolis from March 9-14 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
