Wisconsin’s men’s basketball program has officially released its 2026‑27 nonconference schedule, a lineup that blends early‑season exhibitions with a full slate of home contests.
A loaded nonconference slate
The first test will come on October 10, when the Badgers host UW‑Parkside, followed by an October 27 matchup against Oklahoma State, a team that finished 20‑15 a year ago.
The regular season opens on November 2 at the Kohl Center against Denver, setting the stage for a demanding road stretch.
Among the highlighted games are a December 5 road trip to face Marquette, a December 12 showdown with Villanova, and a December 19 contest at Auburn in Nashville, each pitting Wisconsin against Big East, SEC and ACC opponents.
The Badgers will also compete in the Baha Mar Championship in Nassau, Bahamas, where they will meet North Carolina State and Seton Hall in a neutral‑site tournament.
Additional home games include contests versus Delaware, Fairfield, Coastal Carolina, Northeastern, Purdue‑Fort Wayne and Colorado State, rounding out a diverse nonconference slate.
The previous season ended with a 24‑11 overall record and a 14‑6 mark in Big Ten play, and the 2026‑27 roster will feature at least eight newcomers, with one scholarship spot still open.
Coach Greg Gard says the schedule is designed to test the team early and prepare it for the rigors of conference play, promising an exciting start to the campaign.
