BeOne Medicines, a global oncology company dedicated to discovering innovative cancer treatments, has introduced the 'One Save Changes Everything' campaign, a soccer‑centric effort that spotlights pivotal moments in cancer care and honors the people who fight the disease.
The program includes a $300,000 commitment, in partnership with the U.S. Soccer Foundation, to install soccer mini‑pitches near cancer treatment centers across the United States, creating communal spaces where families can experience movement, connection and a sense of normalcy.
A Personal Connection to the Game
Former U.S. Men’s National Team goalkeeper Tim Howard, celebrated for his 16 saves against Belgium in 2014, lends his story to the campaign. Howard’s involvement is rooted in a deeply personal experience: his grandfather’s cancer diagnosis and the steadfast support his family provided, moments that inspired his commitment to the cause.
Now serving as the U.S. campaign partner for One Save Changes Everything, Howard also champions a volunteer initiative that converts community service hours into charitable dollars, expanding the campaign’s impact beyond the pitch and into the neighborhoods most affected by cancer.
BeOne colleagues worldwide are signing up to volunteer, turning their time into financial contributions that fund the mini‑pitch installations and support local communities. The effort underscores a broader mission to recognize researchers, clinicians, caregivers and patients whose daily work advances the fight against cancer.
