Fall Camp Signals a New Era in Logan
Fall camp for the Utah State Aggies opened on Wednesday, August 5, marking the second year under head coach Bronco Mendenhall. The sessions, held on the campus of Utah State University in Logan, are closed to the public, with only media outlets granted access after each practice.
The routine will be punctuated by a community‑focused event on August 22, when the team hosts its Football Family Fun Day. The outdoor festival will feature a youth clinic, autograph sessions, inflatable games and a lineup of food trucks, giving fans a first look at the new‑look squad.
Among the returning letterwinners, graduate linebacker Bronson Oleavo Jr. and senior safety Brevin Hamblin stand out after earning All‑Mountain West honorable‑mention honors in the previous season. Their experience will anchor a defense that aims to improve on a 6‑7 record from 2025.
The roster overhaul brings 68 newcomers, including 34 four‑year transfers who have collectively logged 651 career games and 273 starts. Highlighting the influx are graduate cornerback Antonio Bluiett, a FCS Honorable Mention All‑American, and graduate inside linebacker Brycen Edwards, who was named second‑team All‑Patriot League in 2025. Other notable arrivals include Javen Jacobs, George Maile, Tavo Motu'apuaka, Jimmy Liston, Tyree Morris, Chris Joe, Carson Tujague, Bobby Arnold, Anthony Garcia, D'Angelo Mayes, Noah White, Mataira Brown, K'leyone Iosua, Kache Kaio, Kian Afrookhteh, Jordan Pendleton and Asher Cunningham.
A Schedule Packed with Familiar Foes
The Aggies will open their inaugural Pac‑12 schedule with a series of home games against Idaho State, Troy, Washington State, Colorado State and Fresno State. The slate culminates with a Flex contest against Boise State on November 28, a game whose kickoff time will be announced later. Beyond the on‑field action, the move into the Power Five conference represents a milestone for the program and its supporters.
