NASCAR’s 2027 Clash Returns to Daytona with Wheatley Vodka Sponsorship

The preseason exhibition will headline Speedweeks, blending tradition with a new title partnership.

A historic return for NASCAR fans

The 2027 NASCAR preseason Clash is set to make its long‑awaited comeback at Daytona International Speedway, with the event scheduled for February 13, 2027. The date places the race one day before the NFL’s Super Bowl and eight days ahead of the Daytona 500, positioning it as a high‑profile kickoff to the season.

The competition will be officially titled the ‘Wheatley Vodka Clash’, securing a new title‑sponsorship deal that replaces the previous naming arrangement and underscores the brand’s entry into motorsport marketing.

Speaking at the announcement, Speedway President Frank Kelleher highlighted the Clash’s status as a fan‑favorite and emphasized how the partnership enhances the overall Speedweeks experience.

The Clash last visited Daytona in 2021 on the road‑course layout, where Kyle Busch claimed victory, and before that in 2020 on the tri‑oval, with Erik Jones taking the checkered flag. From 2022 through 2024 the exhibition was staged at Bowman Gray Stadium in Winston‑Salem, North Carolina, before the decision to return to the Florida venue.

The event forms part of Speedweeks Presented by AdventHealth, integrating the race into a broader week of activities that also showcases the health system’s community initiatives.
