NASCAR’s Wheatley Vodka Clash is set to make its long‑awaited return to Daytona International Speedway on February 13, 2027, ending a five‑year absence from the track’s 2.5‑mile superspeedway.
A historic homecoming
The event will be woven into the Speedweeks Presented by AdventHealth schedule and will air live on FOX the night before the Super Bowl, giving millions of viewers a prime‑time glimpse of the sport’s opening act.
The return is underpinned by a new multi‑year partnership between NASCAR and Wheatley American Vodka, which designates Wheatley as the Official Vodka of NASCAR and signals a broader branding collaboration.
Since its debut, the Clash has journeyed from the streets of Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum to Bowman Gray Stadium and finally to Daytona’s road course in 2021, where Erik Jones captured the last victory before the hiatus.
A packed Speedweeks calendar
The 2027 schedule places the Clash directly before the 69th DAYTONA 500 on February 21, followed by season‑opening races for the CRAFTSMAN Truck Series, the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series and the ARCA Menards Series.
A preseason Cup Series test will also be conducted at the superspeedway, giving teams an early chance to evaluate the new aerodynamic package, while Tyler Reddick aims to complete a Daytona sweep after his 2026 500 triumph.
The Clash’s comeback not only revitalizes a marquee spectacle for fans but also reinforces Daytona’s pivotal role as the gateway to a season that will culminate with the iconic Coke Zero Sugar 400 in August.
