The University of Pennsylvania men's basketball program has released its 2026‑27 Ivy League slate, a schedule that not only promises a rigorous conference campaign but also commemorates a century of basketball at the Palestra.
A Century‑Long Celebration
Coach Fran McCaffery, who has guided the Quakers to recent Ivy League triumphs, highlighted the significance of the milestone, noting that the Palestra’s storied walls will once again serve as the backdrop for a season that blends tradition with fresh challenges.
The campaign opens with a home‑and‑away series against Princeton, beginning on January 4 at Jadwin Gym, where the Quakers will look to extend their winning ways in front of a home crowd.
Subsequent conference matchups include road tests at Brown on January 8 and at Harvard on January 16, followed by a home appearance against Dartmouth on January 18 and a trip to Yale on January 23.
Cornell and Columbia will host Penn on January 29 and January 30 respectively, before the team returns to Princeton for a home contest on January 6, a date that marks the start of a busy February stretch.
February features a single home game against Yale on February 20, while the Quakers travel to face Harvard on February 26 and Dartmouth on February 29, rounding out a demanding road schedule.
The regular season will conclude with a home game against Brown on March 5, setting the stage for the Ivy League Tournament that will be held at the historic Palestra on March 12 and 13, celebrating its 100th anniversary.
Beyond the schedule, the milestone underscores the enduring relationship between the university, its alumni, and the broader Ivy League community, all of whom anticipate a season that will be remembered as much for its narrative as for its on‑court results.
