North Texas announced this week that Rynae Rasley will join the women's basketball program as an associate coach, a move that underscores the university's commitment to elevating its competitive edge.
A Strategic Addition to the Coaching Roster
During her tenure at the Air Force Academy, Rasley helped orchestrate the most successful stretch in Division I history for the Falcons, guiding the team to a national postseason appearance and setting program records. She served as an assistant coach for two separate periods (2016‑19 and 2024‑26) before being promoted to associate head coach, where she contributed to five conference victories and multiple program milestones.
Rasley's coaching journey began at Chandler‑Gilbert Community College, where she led the basketball program to consecutive Region I Division II championships. She later refined her leadership at Nyack College and the City College of New York, serving as a two‑time captain and playing a pivotal role in student‑athlete development.
Her academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts from City College in 2011 and a Master of Science in organizational leadership from Nyack College in 2013, providing a strong foundation for her approach to player and staff development.
