The stadium, home to the Pensacola Blue Wahoos minor‑league franchise, has already proven its drawing power, having hosted sellout contests against Auburn in 2024 and Mississippi State a year later, underscoring the growing appetite for college baseball in the region.
FSU’s 2026 campaign closed at 40‑19, a respectable record that ended abruptly in the Tallahassee Regional when St. John’s Red Storm knocked the Seminoles out, while Auburn, fresh off an NCAA Tournament appearance that saw them fall in the Auburn Super Regional to Ole Miss, brings a similar mix of experience and ambition.
A New Era for the Seminoles
The offseason has reshaped the roster dramatically, with eight Seminoles selected in the 2026 MLB Draft and nine more entering the transfer portal, prompting coach Link Jarrett and his staff to rebuild around a fresh influx of talent.
Among the newcomers, pitcher Cayden Suchy and outfielder Ty Peeples have been highlighted by 64Analytics as top‑20 prospects in the transfer market, while freshmen Yodelkis Quevedo and Genson Veras are expected to add power depth. Right‑handers Donovan Thiery and Brayden Harris are also slated to see significant innings.
