USA Hockey announced this week that it has renewed and expanded its partnership with IMG Academy, the renowned sports education brand, in a move designed to deepen recruiting education and development resources for hockey players across the United States.
A New Era for Hockey Recruiting
The agreement, which builds on a multi‑year collaboration that began several years ago, will now provide members with access to a series of virtual and in‑person seminars, hands‑on workshops, and a three‑month complimentary trial of the IMG Academy+ platform. These offerings are intended to give student‑athletes and their families concrete tools for navigating the college hockey recruiting landscape.
Tony Driscoll, a senior official at USA Hockey, said the partnership reflects a commitment to ensuring that athletes can chart a clear path to college competition while also receiving guidance on the broader development journey.
NCSA College Recruiting and SportsRecruits, long‑standing partners that supply trusted expertise to the sport, will contribute their knowledge through the joint programming, helping coaches and event organizers integrate recruiting technology at select USA Hockey events.
Founded in 1937, USA Hockey serves as the National Governing Body for ice hockey in the United States, boasting a membership of more than one million participants in all 50 states. The organization’s reach extends from grassroots youth programs to the elite levels of national competition.
IMG Academy, headquartered in Florida and with a historic presence in Colorado, leverages its holistic development model to empower student‑athletes through academic support, performance training and life‑skill coaching.
