Wood’s professional journey began with a strong showing for the Rapid City Rush during the 2025‑26 season, where he recorded 32 points across 71 games, including 10 goals and 22 assists. The following year he posted 47 points with the Utah Grizzlies, contributing 20 goals and 27 assists in 72 appearances. A brief stint with the Colorado Eagles in 2024‑25 added another layer of experience before he returned to the Western Hockey League.
Prior to his professional career, Wood spent five seasons in the WHL, skating for Lethbridge, Winnipeg and Wenatchee. In his final junior season, he served as an alternate captain for Wenatchee and set career‑highs with 28 goals, 34 assists and 62 points in 60 regular‑season games.
