The Adirondack Thunder have added a seasoned defensive presence to their lineup, announcing the signing of 27‑year‑old defenseman Liam Haslam to a contract that will run through the 2026‑27 ECHL season.
A Journey Across the Atlantic
Haslam’s professional path has been marked by stints in Europe, where he honed his game in the Danish Hockey League and the Swedish HockeyAllsvenskan before returning to North America.
During the 2023‑24 campaign he appeared in 45 games for Rødovre Mighty Bulls in Denmark, contributing four assists, and in the following season he logged 32 outings for Kalix HC in HockeyEttan, adding eight more assists.
Prior to his European chapter, Haslam excelled at SUNY‑Oswego and Concordia College, where he tallied 34 points in 56 collegiate games and served as an alternate captain during the 2023‑24 season.
Team officials said they are excited about his arrival, noting that his blend of international experience and leadership should strengthen the Thunder’s defensive core as the club aims to contend for a playoff berth.
