The poll also underscores the depth of the Atlantic Coast Conference, with four of its members — NC State, Stanford, Virginia and Saint Louis — placed within the top 25, highlighting the conference’s strong early‑season outlook.
SMU will test its mettle against a slate of highly ranked opponents in exhibition matches, beginning with a showdown against No. 4 Saint Louis on August 24, followed by a contest with No. 25 Kansas City on September 4, a battle versus No. 2 NC State on September 18, and a later clash with No. 9 Stanford on October 16.
Pre‑Season Exhibition Fixtures
Prior to the regular campaign, the 2025 ACC champions are scheduled for two tune‑up fixtures, taking on Oral Roberts on August 7 and Tulsa on August 14, providing valuable minutes before the competitive debut.
