The Alaska Nanooks women's basketball team has released its full 2026‑27 schedule, a 30‑game slate that blends home dominance with strategic road excursions.
Seventeen of those contests will be played at the Alaska Airlines Gymnasium, the team's primary venue in Fairbanks, where the atmosphere will be amplified by a series of themed nights.
The season kicks off with a two‑game home series against Pacific Union on November 6‑7, a matchup that also serves as the first of several fan‑favorite events, including Jersey Jam and Pajama Night.
A highlight of the early season is a five‑day swing to Hawaii, where the Nanooks will play three contests at Hawaii Hilo, Hawaii Pacific and Chaminade from November 10‑14, before returning to Fairbanks for a stretch of home games before Christmas.
Eight of those home games will be played before the holiday break, a deliberate effort by head coach Michael Ricks to build momentum heading into conference play.
After the holiday stretch, the team will hit the road for a series of Pacific Northwest trips, beginning with games at Simon Fraser on December 3 and Western Washington on December 5, followed by a two‑game series against Northwest Indian College on December 14‑15.
The non‑conference schedule also includes a final road test against Missouri S&T on December 18, after which the Nanooks will resume play in January with a home game against Alaska Anchorage on January 2.
The latter part of the season features a rivalry showdown against the UAA Seawolves on January 30, and the campaign will close with back‑to‑back home games versus Western Washington and Simon Fraser in late February.
