A Top‑10 Start
Arkansas soccer has been tabbed No. 10 in the United Soccer Coaches preseason Top 25 poll, a testament to its recent dominance as the SEC’s defending regular‑season champions. The ranking reflects the team’s strong finish last season and the return of key players who helped secure that title.
Coaching staff will lean on a core group of veterans who experienced the championship run, giving the squad continuity and depth as they prepare for the upcoming campaign.
A Tough Slate Ahead
The Razorbacks’ schedule promises a rigorous test, as they will face five opponents currently listed among the preseason top 25, including North Carolina, LSU, Georgia, Tennessee and Clemson.
Before the regular season begins, Arkansas will play two preseason exhibitions. The first is against Kansas City, followed by a showdown with No. 21 Memphis, before the team opens its official schedule against Baylor on August 12 at 7 p.m. at Razorback Field.
The opening match marks the first official test of the new roster and will be played in front of a home crowd eager to see the defending SEC champions in action.
Across the nation, the SEC will be represented by five teams in the preseason poll, with Vanderbilt leading the conference at No. 5. Meanwhile, the ACC boasts eight ranked squads, while the Big Ten and Big 12 each contribute five teams to the Top 25.
