The path to his return was cleared by a preliminary injunction issued by U.S. District Court Judge Charlotte Sweeney in Colorado, which granted class‑of‑2022 student‑athletes the ability to compete without serving a redshirt year under the NCAA’s new five‑for‑five eligibility framework.
