A federal judge in Colorado recently issued a ruling that restores eligibility to Ismail Mahdi and Max Harris, allowing the former Texas State transfers to extend their collegiate careers despite having graduated high school in 2022.
Mahdi topped the Wildcats’ rushing attack in 2025, amassing 859 yards on the ground and adding four touchdowns, while also handling five kickoff returns that contributed to the team’s special‑teams production.
Harris started 12 games last year, posting 78 tackles and 3.5 sacks from the linebacker position, underscoring his impact on the front seven.
Coach Brennan’s Optimism and Team Chemistry
Coach Brent Brennan highlighted the duo’s leadership, noting that both players are respected by teammates and will help shape the locker‑room culture as the squad builds toward the upcoming campaign.
