Surry Community College in the United States celebrated a notable achievement as fourteen of its student‑athletes were named to the NJCAA All‑Academic team for the 2025‑2026 academic year. The NJCAA honors students who maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.60, dividing the accolades into three tiers based on performance. The First Team requires a perfect 4.00 GPA, while the Second Team encompasses a 3.80‑3.99 range and the Third Team a 3.60‑3.79 range. This structure rewards sustained scholarly achievement across diverse programs.
Among the honorees, Aaron Jones from South Rowan and Brice Knox from West Rowan earned placement on the Second Team, each posting a GPA between 3.80 and 3.99. Beyond classroom performance, the college’s athletes devoted more than 2,500 hours to study hall and tutoring sessions in the Academic Support Center during the same period.
