Dalton Hill is set to lead the Aurora Houn’ Dawgs into the 2026 campaign, taking over from Ty Kime, who left the program to become the athletic director at Waynesville.
A Fresh Start in Aurora
Hill inherits a squad that finished 2‑8 last year, with wins over Mt. Vernon in Week 1 and Lafayette in Week 4, and he is determined to embed a culture of discipline, accountability and integrity.
Key pieces returning include quarterback Sean Creasey, junior running back Memphis Mooneyham and senior wide receiver Terik Rackley, while junior guard Zach Brown, tackles Martin Svistun and Gabe Vannote are expected to anchor both the offensive line and linebacker spots.
Defensive contributors such as linebacker Cooper Weter, junior Jonathan Simpson and sophomore Ivan Monje will also see action on both sides of the ball, and the Fries brothers—Zach, Omar and Ryan—could add depth to the secondary or linebacking corps.
The schedule opens with a home matchup against Lamar on August 28, followed by a non‑conference game at Rolla on October 2, and Hill says those early contests will be crucial for evaluating progress and preparing the team for a potential playoff run.
