A Season of Celebration
Kennesaw State University's athletics department has revealed the slate of theme games for the 2026 football season at Walens Family Field, promising a blend of tradition, school spirit and community outreach.
The opening contest on September 3 against West Georgia will kick off with FLIGHT 30, a student‑run celebration welcoming the incoming class of 2030.
A week later, on September 12, the Owls will host Georgia State in a game that doubles as a tribute to the recent Conference USA titles in football, basketball and track, while also serving as part of Parent & Family Weekend.
October 7 brings a Dark Mode showdown with Jax State, encouraging fans to dress in black to create a brooding atmosphere.
The October 22 matchup against Liberty will be called Gold Rush, with supporters urged to wear gold for a sea of color.
November 7’s Homecoming against Delaware will feature special recognitions that honor alumni and student life, while the final home game on November 21 will salute senior student‑athletes and pay tribute to military members, veterans and first responders through a Salute to Service.
Supporting the Future
Beyond the schedule, the athletics department has launched the Champions Fund, a philanthropic effort aimed at bolstering student‑athlete recruitment, retention and competitive excellence through coaching, travel and facility upgrades.
Ticket packages begin at $125 and include contests against in‑state rivals and Conference USA opponents, providing affordable access to the themed events.
