The Murray State Racers kicked off their European tour with a commanding 95-64 win over Team Barcelona, closing out a brief but intense stay in the Catalan capital before moving on to Greece.

The Racers posted 26 assists and 37 made baskets while shooting 46 percent from the field. They forced 17 steals, scored 38 points in the paint and 25 on fast breaks, and saw ten different players hit the scoresheet.

Mathis Courbon paced the offense with 21 points, 17 of which came after halftime, while rookie Kaden Magwood contributed 13 points and six assists in his first game with the team. Roman Domon added 14 points in the first half, and Christian Jones chipped in 10.

Lachlan Crate and Brayden Shorter each tallied nine points, and Crate was one of four players who grabbed seven rebounds. The team’s second quarter surge, a 19-9 run, set the tone for the rest of the contest.

After a tightly contested opening period, the Racers pulled ahead in the second quarter and maintained control, though a 31-point swing in the third quarter helped seal the final margin.
