On August 4, Team Black captured the Summer Adult League title with a 5‑1 win over Team Grey at the Cape Henlopen Bermuda field in Lewes. The final showcased a dominant performance that left little doubt about the champions' superiority.
The victory followed a series of strong showings by both squads. Earlier in the season, Team Grey had edged out Team Yellow, and they advanced to the final by defeating Team Red in the semifinals.
Patrick Kilby, the owner of Tower Beach Football Club, emphasized that the league was created to provide organized soccer opportunities that are stress‑free and accessible to residents of Milton, Lewes, and Rehoboth. According to Kilby, the competition serves as a summer outlet for community members who want to stay active on the field.
Looking ahead, the club will host a fall league from October through November on Monday nights at Cape Henlopen High School's Legends Stadium. In addition, adult and youth Futsal leagues are scheduled for January and February, expanding the range of soccer options available year‑round.
