Preseason Outlook
The latest NEC Preseason Coaches Poll has placed Le Moyne College’s men’s soccer squad second in the conference rankings, trailing only defending champion Fairleigh Dickinson University, which captured all eight first‑place votes.
Seven‑time conference champion Long Island University was slotted third, while Mercyhurst and Stonehill round out the top five, setting a competitive stage for the upcoming season.
Key Returning Players
Le Moyne’s redshirt junior forward Felix Ludemann and graduate student Antonino Pagano emerged as the team’s top offensive threats in 2025, each ranking among the league leaders in goals and points and helping the Dolphins finish fourth overall in the NEC.
Both athletes have taken advantage of an extra year of eligibility to bolster a roster that has already secured its 25th consecutive NEC postseason appearance, underscoring the program’s consistency.
Championship Ambitions
The Dolphins are leveraging their Division I transition to pursue their first NCAA Tournament berth, a goal that would be unlocked by capturing the NEC tournament and earning the conference’s automatic bid.
Former NE10 rivals New Haven and Mercyhurst remain eligible for the NEC Championships but are barred from NCAA tournament participation, a restriction that could shape the semifinal landscape.
Championship Schedule
The 2026 NEC Men’s Soccer Championship is slated for November 12 and 15, with the top four teams battling for the title; high‑seeded clubs will host the semifinals and final, adding a home‑field advantage to the mix.
