The Grays Harbor College women’s soccer program, known as the Chokers, is set to begin its 2026‑27 campaign after a multi‑year hiatus, with head coach Jacob Borden at the helm.
A Fresh Start for the Chokers
The team opens the season with two non‑conference fixtures in Tukwila, Washington, scheduled for August 18 and 19, before returning to its home turf in Aberdeen.
The first home match arrives on August 29, when the Chokers host Tacoma at Stewart Field, marking the start of Northwest Athletic Conference West Region play.
Throughout the season the Chokers will face regional opponents including SPSCC, Highline, Green River, Lower Columbia, Clark, Pierce and Centralia, all of which will be played at Stewart Field except for the initial Tukwila games.
Coach Borden and the college are encouraging students, alumni and families to attend, aiming to build a lively home‑field atmosphere that can give the team a competitive edge.
