NASCAR is finalizing its 2027 Cup Series calendar, confirming several key weekend blocks that will anchor the season.
Confirmed Weekend Blocks
A March 5‑7 weekend at Circuit of the Americas in Austin will close the weekend with a Sunday finale, while Phoenix Raceway will host an early‑season swing on March 12‑14 and again in October for a Chase‑deciding double‑header.
Texas Motor Speedway will stage a tripleheader from April 30 through May 2, featuring the Craftsman Truck Series, the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series and the Cup Series in back‑to‑back days, a format that drew a sold‑out crowd on the final day of the 2026 event.
The Phoenix double‑header will combine Cup, Truck and IndyCar competition, giving fans a rare chance to see multiple series on the same weekend.
Adding to the mix, Tyler Reddick, the reigning Cup champion at COTA, is set to return for his seventh straight appearance at the Austin venue, a streak that highlights his strong record on the track.
Daytona International Speedway and Watkins Glen International have also been secured for 2027, and while the full schedule remains a work in progress, the series has indicated that more dates will be announced soon.
The season will open with Speedweeks from February 12‑14, culminating in the Daytona 500 on February 21, setting the tone for a year that blends traditional marquee events with innovative race weekend structures.
