Shawe Memorial High School announced the appointment of Isaac Auten as its new Head Girls Basketball Coach, stepping into the role after the departure of Drew Kring.
A Coach With a Multifaceted Vision
Auten brings five years of high school coaching experience, having guided boys junior varsity teams and assisted at the varsity level, while also serving as a youth pastor at Madison Assembly of God.
His coaching philosophy centers on trust as the foundation of a successful program, emphasizing player development and community engagement over mere wins.
Since moving to Madison in 2025, Auten has been active beyond the gym, leading youth flag football and baseball programs that aim to mentor young athletes across the city.
