Amire Gill, a 6‑foot‑5 guard who helped Princeton High School capture its first state title last March, announced that he will spend his senior season at Masters Academy International, a private institution in Massachusetts.
Championship heroics and statistical dominance
In the Division I final, Gill poured in 24 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, earning MVP honors and sealing a historic championship for his school. His overall season numbers — 17.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.6 steals per game — secured him a place on the first‑team all‑state roster.
The performance attracted considerable attention, with Gill receiving at least a dozen scholarship offers from schools such as Virginia Tech, South Florida and Miami University.
Coach Bryan Wyant confirmed the transfer, thanking Gill for his contributions and expressing optimism about the new environment. "We are grateful for Amire’s impact on our program and excited to see where his talents take him next," Wyant said.
Gill’s move underscores a growing trend of elite high school players seeking specialized training environments as they prepare for college recruitment.
