Coaches and analysts alike are watching a handful of standout players who not only posted impressive statistics as sophomores but also demonstrated the ability to elevate their teammates on the field.

Among the most talked-about names is Mesfin Brown of Campbell County, who as a sophomore recorded six goals and three assists while earning first-team 10th Region honors, helping his side to an 8-1 record against regional opponents.
At Summit Country Day, Beckett Brinkman and Forrest Cloran have already drawn attention; Brinkman, one of four sophomores to make the first-team all-city list, contributed eight goals and a team-high eight assists, while Cloran's three goals and five assists were pivotal during the school's 2025 state championship run, earning him all-district and first-team all-city selections.
